Republic Act 8293 has just been passed into
law, and the Presidential Inter-Agency
Committee on Intellectual Property Rights
got the pressure to raise the bar on
campaign against piracy, infringement and
counterfeiting. A website that educates the
public with fake and original products has
been developed which aims to decrease the
consumers' patronage of fake products.
Updated Data of apprehensions and
enforcement operations from different
government agencies such as Dept. of Trade &
Industry, Videogram Regulatory Board,
Philippine National Police, National Bureau
of Investigation, Intellectual Property
Office and Dept. of Justice needed to be
displayed to the public, and interact as
well to on-line desk complaints of IPR
private holders and helpful information from
concerned citizens - through online
complaint desk called (e-reklamo). |
