....unforgettable experience
(continued)

Sleepovers after a dance or soiree when falling
asleep meant waking up with graffiti all over your
face. |

Our fake fraternity: Alpha Kappal Muks. "Oy!
Colorum!" |

The Don Bosco vs Aquinas Basketball Brawl at
Ateneo. I almost pissed in my pants. "Aquinas Bulok!"
Haha! |

Shop class! Man, I miss making wooden toys with a
worn out copping saw plus inhaling toxic fumes,
totally ignoring safety procedures while using the
drill press! |

The time when not a single one of our classmates
made the conduct awardee list. Now THAT is an
achievement that is one for the history books!

Funniest Moments....

When we ended a prayer with "Dominic Savio,
Pray for us. Ultimate Warrior, Pray for us!" |

When one of our classmates got caught
twirling a book during class and he ended up
twirling a huge cardboard box in the corner
until class ended. |

The name calling! We had every character
from Papa Smurf to Bonjing! "Kahit saan,
kahit sino, Asar-talo!"

Ihat ‘Ultimate Warrior’ thing really drives me
insane. Now let’s have a name game. I’ll give you a
name of a high school teacher, and all you have to
do is describe them in three words, that would come
first
into your mind.
DB92 Moderator: Ms. Doblas:
Audie R.: Like a Mother!
DB92 Moderator: Ms. Salamilao?
Audie R.: Nice 'N Classy
DB92 Moderator. Mr. Malasa?
Audie R.: Easy Isnt It?
DB92 Moderator:
Mr. Macaraig?
Audie R.: One of (the) Boys!
DB92 Moderator: Mr. Miranda?
Audie R.: One Cool Mentor. |

It could be a
ghost story, or a Life-threatening situations. Tell
us your Scariest / Most Suspense Moment in HS.
Audie R.:
First, the time when we almost got beat up by "addicts"
outside of DB (Takaw bog-bog talaga!) Then, there's
one time asking a
girl out on a date. What can I say, it's not easy.
Nothing could be more suspense than waiting for the NCEE test results. |

|
DB92 Moderator:
If given a chance to turn back time, what do you
want to redo or undo in HS.
Audie R.:
I can honestly say, NONE AT ALL! Every experience I
have, every single decision I made, and every
friends I’ve made along the way have made me who I
am now. Good or bad, it was all part of my learning
experience. I cherish every moment of it and will
never trade it for anything! The journey was well
worth it. |

Most of us knows the excellency you've possessed
in the field of IT. What do you think is the
biggest contribution you have made so far here in
the Silicon Valley?
Audie R.:
Funny! I really don't consider myself as someone who
excelled in IT. I just do the best I can in any
situation and fortunately, having a job that I love
helps a lot. That's a hard question to answer as I
really don't think about the impact I’ve made in the
Valley as a whole. I’ve been part of several tech
industry and projects in the Valley throughout the
years from Dot Coms & Software companies, to VoIP
and ATM/Kiosk firms. I was fortunate enough to be
involved with various aspects of the game from QA,
Marketing, Sales, Management, and Development so I
was able to combine my love of art and people with
my thirst for technical knowledge. I guess you could
say I made a couple impressions here and there. |

DB92 Moderator:
Can you list technological advancements you’d
like to see in Don Bosco, in a span of five years?
Audie R.:
Yes! Live Satellite Feeds and Virtual Classrooms so
we alumnus can keep in touch and perhaps share our
knowledge with the next generation of Bosconians
regardless of where we're at in the world.
That, plus an internet-ready and fully-networked
confessional boxes with wi-fi access. Imagine,
mobile confessions on the go! Just kidding. |

Hahaha….log-on muna bago confession, okey yun. Few of us know your other artistic side, if you type Marisma at Yahoo Search Engine, we will find your
Rock Band. Rock Star Status na ba? Tell
us about your band.....
Audie R.:
Haha! I wish. Actually, more like "bandS". They are
somewhat my hobby. My first band,
Curvature,
was an instrumental ambient rock project that was
short-lived but gained a bit of recognition. We've
had the chance to be featured in a couple local
radio stations here in California and one of our
singles even became
GarageBand.com's
top 5 Alternative songs of all time.
My other band,
Marisma,
is so far the most successful and is one of the most
acclaimed local indie/emo rock band here in the San
Francisco area. We have one album so far (and
currently in the process of recording our 2nd), play
several shows regularly along with a lot of other
awesome bands in the area, and have been featured on
a couple articles. I wouldn't say we're as big as
the ones you constantly hear on the radio-quite the
contrary-- but we do have a bit of a following.
We've gotten a bit of recognition here and abroad
and occasionally, some people ask for our
autographs. It feels good knowing you've made an
impact on someone you don't even know through your
music. |
